Pandani & Snowgums Lutruwita/Tasmania
Pretty much all Tasmanian photographers have been here and seen and captured these trees, yet for those from afar, from those armchair travelers, those who haven’t seen many photos from this part of the world, well this is for you..!
It was my first visit to this part of Mt Field National Park, where incredible pandani and Eucalyptus pauciflora abound, along the track to Tarn Shelf. What a mystical afternoon. Cloud & mist were around, it was cold, wet, and fresh. Wandering among trees of old, the atmospheric cloud coming and going in moments. We didn’t have much time as being winter, the afternoon light is shorter, yet for me it was a taster. Eyes in wonder, taking in the twisty colours, silence in the cloud, fungi, pandani and that feeling of time before. So beautiful and captivating..!
